GKN Powder Metallurgy acquired Forecast 3D in 2019 to complement their GKN Additive division.
Founded in 1994, Forecast 3D created an AM-focused model that evolved over time, first by crafting prototypes and continually expanding its offerings into production and again later into digital, bespoke manufacturing.
Thanks to GKN Powder Metallurgy’s global footprint and network of esteemed resources, our scope has broadened, and our reach has expanded. Our team has maintained the same focus on detailed craftsmanship, expedited time to market, and the highest level of customer experience, though we are forging a new path — faster than ever before — as a leader in additive manufacturing worldwide.
Culture
Forecast 3D is one of the oldest and largest facilities of its kind in the United States. The company's roots go back to 1994. Forecast 3D became one of the first DMLS providers in 2007. In 2017 Forecast 3D became the official West Coast Experience Center for MJF by HP.
